Position Overview
We are looking for a dynamic and engaging Middle School English Teacher, High School English Teacher, and Middle School Math Teacher who are passionate about their subjects and fostering critical thinking skills in students. These educators will be responsible for guiding students through foundational and advanced concepts, developing problem-solving and analytical skills, and encouraging a love of learning.
Additionally, one of these hires will have the opportunity to serve as Theater Director, overseeing both the fall play and spring musical. This role involves directing student productions, organizing rehearsals, and fostering an appreciation for the performing arts. A stipend will be provided for this additional responsibility.
Qualifications
A bachelor’s degree in English, Mathematics, Education, or a related field (education certification preferred)
Experience in classroom teaching (preferred but not required)
Strong commitment to Christian education and biblical values
Excellent communication and classroom management skills
The ability to inspire and engage students in a dynamic learning environment
Experience in theater directing or a willingness to lead student productions (preferred but optional)
Responsibilities
English Teacher
Develop and implement engaging lesson plans aligned with curriculum standards
Foster a positive and inclusive classroom atmosphere
Teach students literary analysis, writing composition, grammar, and communication skills
Assess student progress and provide meaningful feedback
Collaborate with faculty and staff to support student success
Integrate faith and learning to encourage spiritual growth
Math Teacher
Develop and deliver engaging mathematics lessons aligned with curriculum standards
Foster critical thinking and problem-solving skills
Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback
Create a classroom environment that supports learning and mathematical exploration
Collaborate with faculty to integrate faith-based principles into teaching
(Optional) Theater Director Responsibilities
Direct and produce the fall play and spring musical
Plan and lead auditions, rehearsals, and performances
Coordinate with students, staff, and parent volunteers
Manage production elements such as costumes, sets, and lighting
Cultivate a supportive and creative environment for student performers
